Annette Barbieri is a contemporary artist who lives and works in Central Florida. Having spent her childhood exploring Florida’s coastline and lush landscape, Barbieri has cultivated her enchantment with art and lends a laid-back Southern vibe to her paintings.

Barbieri’s process usually begins with either a photo or a concept of color, whether soft and lush or saturated and full of depth. By layering various mediums, adding and omitting, she creates artwork that is full of subtleties and fine details. Her paintings have been described as “ethereal” and “otherworldly”, often focusing on abstract landscapes with a nod to the Atlantic Ocean.

Having received her B.A. from Stetson University in DeLand, FL and working in interior design, Annette understands the immediate connection people feel to a painting and the power it has to transform a space, either at home or at work. Barbieri’s work has been featured in numerous publications as well as private and corporate collections throughout the South and beyond.
